That was awesome! And I'm crying too. I need to be more careful to make sure I say how much i love Lance (and all my family and friends) much more often. I get so caught up in life that I fail to make sure Lance hears those words sometimes. I am so blessed to have him in my life, and I truly don't take it for granted. I just forget to tell him sometimes.
I will never forget something that Avi said on your wedding day. I could hardly even come out and participate in the wedding because it made me cry.
Lance, Avi, and I were standing in a little hallway with a tiny little window into the main room. We were waiting on you to come out of another room someplace with your parents.
Suddenly the three of you stepped out and started toward the chupa. Avi saw you and said, "She is so beautiful!" And when I turned and saw his face I could see sheer love on his face and in his eyes. It was possibly the most romantic thing I have ever witnessed. And it touched my heart so! To know how much my son loved you at that moment was the best thing a mother could ever hope for her son.
I knew - at that moment - that no matter what would ever happen in your lives, that true love would always be present to sustain you both. And I know that it has - and will continue to.
I think I'll go write a note to sneak into Lance's lunch box in the morning. He is, after all, my knight in shining armor. He is my true love. And I want to tell him.
