I don't even feel like myself when my hair is uncovered. It has been so long since I didn't do it that I don't know what I would feel like to be outside my house with my hair uncovered. Sophie didn't even know I had long hair until one morning when they came by to play. I had washed my hair and was combing it out. She just stood there staring at my hair. I said, "Did you know Bubbie had such long hair?" She said, "No." and kept watching me.
